The God Shot
Voters in an unincorporated county in North Carolina will determine the fate of the bill, which spawned from an idea of an idea. If 51% of the voters vote yes, the unincorporated town will pilot a controversial experimentation: immediately after birth infants will be obligated to obtain an injection.
The serum or "God Shot" which many supporters are terming it, will permit the child, once it is of age to procreate, to produce an infant of any color, race, ethnicity, nationality. In high school terms: an African American couple could produce an Asian infant, a Caucasian girl, a Latino boy, twins: a Native American boy and a Caucasian boy. (Somewhat fitting one could argue.) Note: the God Shot lacks the modifcation to affect sex. There is absolutely no chance a couple will repoduce a human of the same color, race, ethnicity, nationality- the child will possess the looks and tendencies of her parent. In instances where an African American man and a Caucasion woman hooks up their child will likely be Chinese or of an Asian decent.
The God Shot was originally invented to produce black babies since they are becoming extinct in rural parts of the south.
Christain conservatives are appaulled; lawmakers and citizens are on opposite sides.
Advocates of the "God Shot" vehemently propose that critics are racists. Ketzia Michaels, 38, a lifetime resident stated: If you really want to eradicate racism, to caress folk to have empathy, to embrace differences--Hell....I can't think of a more....profound strategy. It's perfect. The white man and his perky white wife will produce a black baby with Shaq's skin complexion. Ha."
Critics argue that this is manipulating with God's plan. Underwood Frank, 50, an Isreali who relocated to the town years ago to attend college and who decided to remain, stated this: "It isn't just about race. Those of us againt the God Shot are perceived as racists; couldbe further from the truth. The dilemmai is unethical immoral. You shouldn't be allowed to play with nature in this way."
Bumper stickers and t-shirts inject the thought of the citizens responsible for the outcome:
"Getta God Shot"
"Who Shot God?"
"Shooting Babies Are A Sin!"
"Shoot! Shoot God."
"Shout Out To The God Shot!"
"Shoot God Into My Baby"
"Who Shot The Baby?"
"Holy Shot"
"Shooting Babies" is accompanied by an image of a baby shooting a gun.
"God Come Shoot Common Sense."
Voters decide in early September.
